IYD periodically needs reviewers to assist with evaluating proposals the organization receives in response to each Request for Proposal (RFP) it issues. Grant reviews are designed to determine whether the proposal has merit and warrants further consideration. Reviewers are selected for their expertise and ability to objectively evaluate applications according to the evaluation criteria published in the RFP. Reviewing grant applications helps one gain experience in grant application preparation, a deeper understanding of the award process, and the opportunity to network with experienced grant reviewers. Ideally, reviewers should have some degree of experience with non-profit organizations. It is also important to be able to accommodate the workload that is associated with the grant review process (e.g., extensive reading, writing, and lengthy discussions). Reviewers must also be able to abide by strict confidentiality and conflict of interest guidelines to ensure fair and equitable reviews for all applicants. If your organization is applying in response to an IYD RFP, you may still serve as a reviewer; however, you will not be permitted to review applications for the identical RFP to which you've responded. To apply, please fill out the following form and click the Submit button. We will do our best to match your profile with appropriate vacancies during the coming year. NOTE: Please be sure to supply the address to which you want materials shipped. A street address is required. *=Required Field. Please read our privacy statement.
