Abstinence Education Initiative

The Institute for Youth Development is currently involved in three federally-funded projects specifically related to sexual abstinence education. These projects include a contract with the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and two cooperative agreements from the Division of Adolescent and School Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Right Choices for Youth

Right Choices for Youth is a nationwide multi-year initiative focused on helping achieve the brightest futures by avoiding alcohol, drugs, sex, tobacco and violence. The initiative will involve a number of projects such as community coalition building; conferences and forums; networking; and building parent/child and school/child connectedness.
