Cooperative Agreement funded through the Division of Adolescent and School Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services to support Abstinence Collaboration and Partnerships In May 2004, IYD entered into a two-year cooperative agreement with the Division of Adolescent and School Health (Cooperative Agreement #04010 “Programs to Improve the Health, Education, and Well-Being of Young People”, Priority 3 – Abstinence Collaboration and Partnership) for development of a toolkit to equip abstinence educators to assist communities in promoting a consistent abstinence message. The toolkit will contain modules targeted to parents, faith-based organizations, policy makers, school boards, and the media. It will include a section on coalition building to promote a comprehensive and consistent risk avoidance message. The toolkit will be produced in Spanish and English and will be available on this website.
